Hot Air from the Whitehouse Climate Change Denial

Hyperstereo picture pair for cross viewing
Working on a new manuscript today, first read through of a family history. Drafted feedback letter to author. This evening went to Milton Artists and Craftists for the monthly art and chat. Not really inspired by anything.

President Trump has decided to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement, putting America first, his own words. But currently, this is largely a symbolic move. A. Withdrawal takes 3 years, actually leaving is not possible til 2019 and then there is a year's waiting period - which takes us to the next US election campaign. B. The US could apparently simply have ignored the climate accord agreements and stayed in with impunity, as there are no penalties for non-compliance. What it does do is play to President Trumps grandstanding - the world was gripped waiting for the decision, The world is now reacting to the decision - and other worrying issues are kept out of the news.

On Question time tonight, hearing the first serious facts being used to talk about the potential damage to the UK economy by Brexit - e.g. the increases in tarifs placed on goods both for UK exporters and those place in importers, and the exodus of companies from the UK.
